Clustering spectral cubes from radio astronomy

The CosmicAI team included Stella Offner and collaborators Rachel Freisen (University of Toronto) and Jaime Pineda (Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics). The team developed a new clustering regime to find structure in spectral data that is common in astronomy. 

The significance of the work lies in producing clusterings that are sensitive enough to identify astronomical structures in very low signal-to-noise environments using data-driven parameterizations to reduce user-bias.
